These paintings are from a time when darkness crept into my life, quietly at first, suffocatingly in the end. A relationship had center stage, its toxicity unnoticed by me.

Caught in the blinding daze of intoxicating love, darkness crept up inside me. The hands who held me in a warm embrace suddenly wrapped me up, tighter and tighter. This was a slow darkening, unnoticed by me, unrealized until no breath was left to breathe.
But a light was seen deep in the darkness and it was shining brighter and brighter.
